“HEPA filter.” “99% of allergens.” Such terms are found on almost every mattress vacuum cleaner, and they are rarely independently verified. What exactly was measured
EN 1822 tests a filter not for large, easily captured particles, but for the most difficult to capture particle — known in the professional world as MPPS (Most Penetrating Particle Size), around 0.10–0.25 µm. Particles of that size slip through a filter most easily. If a filter performs well there, it performs well everywhere.

What the test does and doesn't say
Transparency is key. This test concerns the filter medium — the material the filter is made of — tested as a flat sheet according to EN 1822 and EN ISO 29463-3. The 99.97% is therefore the efficiency of the filter material itself: it indicates how well the filter captures particles that reach it.
What a filter cannot do is capture particles that never reach it. That's why the rest of the design is just as important: the vibrating plate loosens mites and allergens from the fibres, the suction power removes them, and only then does the H13 filter capture them instead of blowing them back into the room. A filter is one link, not the entire solution.

What exactly does class H13 mean?
H13 is a HEPA class under EN 1822. An H13 filter must capture at least 99.95% of particles at the Most Penetrating Particle Size (MPPS, around 0.10–0.25 µm). Our filter medium achieved 99.97%.

Rinse the filter monthly under the tap and let it dry completely. Replace it every six months—a saturated filter reduces suction and filtration.
